"ICC-CWC - momentum is building"

We are getting so excited about how everything has unfolded for the Black Caps (our hero's) this week. We have written letters to the Black Caps and are designing posters of support for Sunday. Miss Maguire is sending our letters electronically so they can be shared with our hero's.

For those who do not know, we have done a huge study on the CWC this term, with each of us have a team that we have investigated, then followed through their pool matches collecting data on run rates, how many overs, how well we bowled etc. We have then used this data to help us make and informed decision one the winners of games through to the final.

This has been a great way to learn how to gather, use and write statements around real life data and we already want to transfer this to the Rugby World Cup....Go ROOM 1....

Chinese Colour Game

During Chinese lessons we are learning how to introduce ourselves in Manderin and about colours. Here is a game we were playing while practicing learning our colours.

This is a fun interactive way to learn and of course the competition makes a difference :)

Inter house Relay

At the end of our school swimming sports we have an inter-house relay. Here is a video Miss Maguire took of MacKillop.

It is always a fun way to end a great day :)
